SE-J840 Shear Test Fixture - Disc

The SE-J840 Disc Brake Shear Test Fixture has been designed and manufactured according to the same plans and specifications as those for the SE-J840 Drum Fixture. This fixture is built so that the lining is supported for its entire length along the upper edge of the lining radius.

Since different shoe numbers have different radii, different lining support jigs are necessary for each different shoe number being tested. These jigs are easily changed by loosening three bolts and substituting the new size jig.

IMPORTANT: In order to make the testing as accurate as possible, it is necessary to very closely match the radius of the lining to the radius of the jig. Therefore, we make each jig to specifically fit the actual sample shoe and lining assembly to be tested. Upon our receipt of your sample shoe and linings, we will use them as models, and manufacture a jig specifically suited to each of your samples. In this manner, we can assure that testing will give true results.
